ADULT LITERACY GRANTS
Creating access and opportunity for adults to learn.
OUR FOCUS
We believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to receive a basic education. We invest in literacy programs that are increasing access, enhancing the quality of instruction, and inspiring and advancing innovation.
We award funding to organizations that provide direct services to adults in need of literacy assistance in one of the following areas:
- Adult Basic Education
- GED or high school equivalency preparation
- English Language Acquisition
Grant Update:
The open solicitation period for the 2023 Adult Literacy Grants has closed. Thank you to all who applied. The Adult Literacy Grant recipients will be announced May 11, 2023. A list of winners will be posted here and email notifications will be sent to all organizations that applied.
OUR GRANT PROGRAMS
The Dollar General Literacy Foundation provides grant funding to support literacy and education initiatives serving individuals of all ages. The Foundation funds nonprofit organizations, schools and libraries within a 15-mile radius of Dollar General stores in the states in which they operate.
