Description
The Social Content Producer will be primarily responsible for writing original, short-form news tweets, using their research and reporting skills to find and cover news stories on topics like social justice, the climate crisis, and police violence, as well as working with the Executive Producer to design and implement a new community management process. This is a contract position that can work remotely on East Coast hours, 40 hours a week.
Responsibilities
• Produce content for social platforms.
• Deliver consistent AJ+ voice and tone across emerging platforms
• Monitor news and trends consistently across all social media platforms
• Experiment with best practices for community management across all social media platforms
• Analyze social media and community engagement trends to continually enhance best practices
• Support new methods of driving audience engagement
Qualifications and Experience
Education & Experience
• Bachelor degree
• At least 2 years’ experience in online Journalism.
• At least 1 years’ experience in social media publishing.
• Sound communication abilities.
• Mastery over the social media landscape.
• Experienced in analyzing trends in the social media space.
• Sound writing abilities.
