As part of BBC Global News, LLC, BBC Advertising sells commercial opportunities across BBC.com platforms, BBC Top Gear.com and BBC World News TV. The Account Manager supports the US sales teams in all post-sale & renewal efforts by helping to foster, grow and facilitate existing advertising campaigns with an aim for impeccable client service & campaign management.
A key contributor in all aspects of post-sale direct digital, programmatic & global TV campaign management, the Account Manager:
- Acts as the primary post-sale contact for all direct, programmatic & global linear deals
- End-to-end oversight of programmatic set up and campaign management
- Oversees the direct post-sales process: campaign set up and seamless execution
- Interfaces daily with Sales, Sales Planning, Ad Operations, Storyworks and Clients
- Collaborates with Sales on campaign management strategy
- Works directly with AE on renewal RFP strategy to ensure campaign success
- Provides a “knowledge bridge” between Ad Operations & the sales team for all post-sales activities
Role Responsibility
- End-to-end oversight of Programmatic Pre and Post-Sale
- Creates proposals for Programmatic Guaranteed deals and sets up both PG & PMP campaigns in Order management system
- Supports Account Executives in the maintenance of live PG/PMP campaigns
- Alongside Pricing & Inventory, monitors inventory availability and campaign pacing to identify and address campaigns in need of optimization
- Alongside Pricing & Inventory, creates and implements campaign optimization strategy. Relays these updates to clients.
- Pulls spend/tracking reporting
- Acts as primary contact for live accounts with clients / agencies
- Managing Direct Digital & Global Linear Post-Sale
- Works alongside Planning and Pricing & Inventory to identify and address campaigns in need of optimization
- Acts as primary contact for live accounts with clients / agencies
- Creates performance ‘Wrap Report’ to share with clients / agencies post-campaign
- Launching and Managing Campaigns
- Work closely with Media Planners & Ad Operations ensure accurate deal set up and on-time launch
- Work closely with Media Planners & Ad Operations to resolve campaign issues in a timely and productive manner
- Communicate issues and suggested solutions to client / agency partners
- Schedule and run periodic campaign status update meetings with Planners, AEs, Ad Ops and other stakeholders.
- Client/Agency Engagement
- Establish relationships with contacts in clients/agencies to facilitate easy delivery of campaign and eventual renewal of a program
- Follow up with clients / agencies and internal departments to gain feedback on campaigns and address any potential issues or concerns
- Where appropriate liaise and manage direct contact with clients operating as resellers in market
- Provide white glove service to client / agency partners becoming a pivotal part of their BBC campaign experience

- Meet/exceed all performance objectives
- Agree to a development plan with their line manager to increase capability in line with business needs
- Keep up to date with new product developments and the competition to develop a reputation as a digital advocate and advisor within the sales team

The ability to manage significant volumes of digital, programmatic, & linear campaign details while remaining organized and highly responsive to internal and external client needs, is essential for successful performance. Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure are also key capabilities in this role.
Minimum 4+ years of publisher / agency work experience, 2+ years managing direct digital, content & programmatic programs
