About the graduate program
Applications for the 2024 Victorian Government graduate program are now open.
Depending on your skills, you can apply through 1 of 4 streams:
- generalist stream
- accounting and finance stream
- data analytics stream
- economic consultancy stream.

Qualifications
Applications are open to anyone with an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or a minimum of a level 7 on the Australian Qualifications Framework. You don’t need any previous work experience in a similar role to apply. All training is provided.
When you apply, you must:
- have completed your undergraduate or postgraduate degree or the same as level 7 and above of the Australian Qualifications Framework between 1 January 2021 and 1 January 2024
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident or have unrestricted working rights for ongoing work
- not be on a temporary graduate visa
- have not taken a voluntary redundancy from the Victorian public sector in the 3 years up to the program start date of 29 January 2024.
You will be required to provide evidence of your COVID-19 vaccination status or exemption if you are successful in receiving a formal offer to join the program.
