Huawei South Africa Bursary Program: We are seeking students from the following areas of study:
Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
Position Requirements
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Have a good command of product planning and optimization skills and independently take charge of product planning and optimization in service business scenarios such as project delivery, pre-sales development, training service, performance maintenance, or service product development.
- Develop and implement product technical solutions.
- Handle technical issues of a single product.
- Students are required to complete Huawei certified HCIA course before onboarding.
Job Responsibilities
The Huawei Bursary program was established in 2018 across numerous Universities around South Africa. To date, 165 students have been successfully funded.
We are looking for students in the following fields of study:
Electrical Engineering,
Information Engineering,
Information Technology,
Mechanical Engineering,
Computer Engineering,
Computer Science.
NB. The Bursary is applicable to South African Students only.
For every year funded, students will be required to work back the equivalent duration at Huawei. You will be given the opportunity to join the prestigious Huawei Graduate Program.
Technical path
If you have an interest and background in technical related work, you can potentially be trained up and developed to become a Junior Network Engineer and develop in the future as a Solution Architect, Project Manager, Senior Engineer or Sales Manager in the Product Lines such as: Wireless (5G), IT (servers, storage), Network (Datacom, Fibre Optical, Access, Microwave), Application & Software (BSS, OSS).
Non-technical path
Should you not have the technical education you can join us as an Assistant and develop to Specialist level in; Information Technology, Finance or Accounting, Supply Chain, Human Resources & Marketing.
