Internship program designed for students in a science related program such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science seeking a career within a specified field. Working 5-10 hrs. per week. Individuals will be contributing in a technical capacity focused on network transformation, insertion of emerging technology, security, and triage of strategic services/applications across AT&T’s portfolio of evolving hybrid networks that include AT&T’s Cloud, Mobility, IMS, Optical, SDN, IP Core, messaging, and other virtual networking technologies. These networks support VoIP, data, and messaging services. Ideal candidates will also supplement new ideas on automation, scripting and programming efforts driving efficiency to support and monitoring functions.
Willingness to perform data analysis on platform and or organizational metrics using industry standard analytics and data presentation tools is needed. Candidates are also tasked with monitoring analysis of end-to-end services and configurations to achieve designed performance and reliability levels using key performance indicators (KPIs). Successful collaboration and technical communication to peer groups is required in this role. This opportunity also supports internal/external audits, root cause analyses (RCA) isolation/remediation, complex triage mitigation techniques analyzing log files coupled with trace/KPI data to include technical presentations.

- The program provides the Technical Student Intern practical work experience to augment their education and career preparation.
- During the work experience, the Technical Student Intern will be exposed to the interpersonal relationships a job requires, both with co-workers and supervisors, that are essential in obtaining a successful, satisfying career.
Education:
- Working toward a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and pursuing a degree such as an MBA, PhD, or JD.
Experience:
- No experience required.
