General Overview
This role provides a beneficial opportunity to learn more about Rotary International’s communication group, strategy, content, etc. through creating social media content, campaigns, social listening and engagement.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Helping the Communications Group accomplish its objectives through social media
- Monitoring mentions across social media platforms and document relevant user-generated content opportunities
- Collaborating and developing creative solutions within and outside of team
- Gaining exposure to many different media channels and tools
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and idea generation
Rotary Careers 2023: Social Media & Audience Development Internship | You Will Have
- Bachelor’s Degree (enrolled and in progress) in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or similar field
- Knowledge and application of communication plans and strategy
- Strong writing skills
- Strong understanding of social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube
- Familiarity with social media monitoring and publishing tools, such as Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Facebook Creator Studio, Canva
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Familiarity with various collaborative tools, such as MS Teams, Skype for Business, Zoom, etc.
You Are Good At
- Proficiency in a language other than English strongly preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of international communications
